(Set on the third day. Just for some character development)
Lien was like a firebender in only one sense, she rose with the sun or rather she rose before the sun. That is why, while the sun rose over the eastern horizon, Lien was up, dressed and walking through the empty streets of the city.
The steel toes of her boots made audible clangs as she walked, she had no real destination in mind, she just wanted to walk. She had been here for two days. Two days without anyone she knew...well...anyone she knew well. She had never been completely without her family, it scared her slightly.
The sound of running water caught her attention. Lien's feet carried her towards the sound, which she discovered was a fountain. It stood proudly in the middle of the town square. White marble with engraved fish that spat jets of water from their mouths. A smile formed on Lien's face as she approached it. Almost instinctively she fell into a familiar waterbending stance.
An orb of water lifted from the fountain and into Lien's outstreched hands. She hadn't practised her waterbending in a few days and it always helped relax her. The water twisted between her fingers. The sound of approaching footsteps startled Lien and she dropped the water, causing it to splash on the ground at her feet.

Kaya winced slightly as the water hit the ground near her sister. "Sorry, didn't mean to break your concentration." She said apolagetically before streaming the water from the ground back into the fountain. "I just wanted to take a walk and think awhile." She said. Oh yes, the young waterbender had much to think about lately. "I didn't think anyone would be out here this early." She said in emberassment.
She had forgotten that Lien was part Firenation, so it only figured that she'd be up with the sun. Kaya, on the other hand, was just used to being up this early. Back home she and her mother trained early in the morning, followed by a few chores and of coure, looking after her younger siblings. If it wasn't that it was usually the fact that Aang had to make trips to a different nation. In which case Kaya would either go with him, or wake up early to say goodbye. She was usually thew only one to do so besides her mother though.
"What're you doing out here?" She asked curiously.

"Thinking about my family." Lien replied turning to face Kaya "I've never really been away from them before. Even when I went to the South Pole, Mom came with me, I just wonder if they miss me as much as I miss them."
She sounded so sentimental, it had only been two days but already she was missing everything. If she were home, she'd be having coffee with her father, because they both hated tea and prefered the Earth Kingdom import, and they would sit and talk about everything and anything from trade negotiations to what new waterbending moves she'd learnt. She was missing that.

Kaya looked down, unsure of what to say. "I'm sorry." She said "I know how you feel. I have such a big family that no matter where we go at least one member of the family was with you. But it's so different now." She said, whether she was talking to Lien or herself was uncertain.
"I'm sure we'll find them, Lien. And if I know Mom, she's probably worried out of her mind about every one of us. You and your brother, me and my siblings, assuming they're here that is." She added.
"Why don't you tell me about your family?" She asked. Maybe talking about her family would make her feel better? Well, it was worth a shot anyways.

Lien nodded at Kaya's words, things were very different. No servants, no palace, no snotty courtiers and worst of all no Mom or Dad or Sozu. It must be worse for Kaya, Lien thought, because she has a bigger family than you.
"My family isn't that big. It's just me, my older brother Sozu, Mom and Dad. Uncle Iroh lives in Ba Sing Se and only visits every once in a while, Aunt Suki and Uncle Sokka live in the South Pole and Uncle Aang and Aunt Toph are busy rebuilding the Air Temples and looking for more airbenders...did you know Ty Lee is an airbender? Apparently her great great grandmother was an airbender and she married into the Fire Nation just before the war started."
Lien turned to face Kaya, she'd always wanted to have another sibling...especially a sister. She'd never expected she would get one, or that she would be from another universe, but she liked Kaya. She was her sister.
"What about your family? Must be nice having loads of siblings."

Kaya nodded listening intenty to her sisters story. "No I didn't know that." She said with a surprised look. "My dad, brother and sisters are the only airbenders in the world where I'm from. But dad and some world leaders are expirimenting with the idea of using energy-bending to make non-benders airbenders." She said. "I don't know much about it because other than world leaders and actualy airbenders those meetings are top-secret." She said with a shrug. The only reason she got that information was from Shya.
"My family?" She asked. "Well, I geuss it's kinda nice to know you have so many people that love and care about you. But they do get annoying ver easily. I'm the oldest girl so I kinda have to look after everyone, like mom did when the war was still going on." She said. "Your world sounds a lot like mine though." She said thoughfully. "Uncle Zuko and Mai live with their 3 kids in the firenation, Ursa is nxt in line for the throne. Uncle Sokka, and aunt Suki live in the north pole with their 3 kids, my cousins. Toph lives with her kids in the Omashu, King Bumi and her became closerafter the war and bonded I geuss, so when he passed he left the city to her seeing as he had no heirs." She said, it came as a shock to even Toph that Bumi had done that, but nobody really had any objections, Toph was, so far, a good Queen. She had left out the part where rebellions had taken the lives of some people close to her, it wasn't exactly a happy memmory for the girl. Zuko and Mai's daughter and Toph's husband had each been killed by earthbenders, causing tension between the Fire and Earth Nations. They still don't know exactly who did it, but Kaya knew it had something to do with Azula, they said she was dead but Kaya didn't beleive it. Even if she was, her daughter, the girl Kaya depsided, would carry out her work.
"Anyways, all in all I geuss having a big family has it's advantages." She said. "Though I can't help wonder what it would be like if mom and dad stopped after me. Just me and Tenzin, kinda like you and Sozu." she said. "So what is my half-brother like anyways?" she asked.

Lien listened with wide eyes to Kaya's story. She apparently had three other half siblings by her father...she wondered what they were like...would they get on as well as she and Kaya did. Their worlds didn't sound so different after all. There were still lots of similarities as well as the many differences.
Lien smirked when Kaya mentioned Sozu "He is an arrogant hog monkey at times." she said "He loves to show off for girls, especially my friend Mei Li. He also loves to annoy the servants by making them do all sorts of ridiculous stuff...but he's also funny, Mom says he gets it from Uncle Sokka, and he is one of the bravest people I know and he can be calm when everyone else is ready to tear their own hair out. He's just...Sozu really."

"Heh, sounds like my brothers." She said with a laugh. "I mean we don't have servents to order around at all, unless we're staying with Uncle Zuko, but Koda loves to show off for girls, epecially Oza." She said growling at the name. "And he'll pretty much annoy anybody if he feels like it. Tenzin he's the oldest, so natrually he's calm like Sozu is." she said laughing. She was missing her brothers even more now. "I'd tell you about our oher siblings, but I'm afraid we'll be here all night if we didn" She said with a laugh. " So how about I tell you about your half-siblings on your dad's side?" She asked.

Lien nodded "It's a bit weird to think Dad had kids with Lady Mai! I mean, she's a bore! Sozu used to joke that she didn't smile because smiling was 'beneath Fire Nation nobility'." Lien chuckled softly at the memory of the joke "I guess it's just a bit weird for me to think of Dad with anyone other than Mom."
Lien couldn't imagine her Mom married to Uncle Aang and her Dad married to Lady Mai...it just seemed wrong to her but to Kaya it was normality...it must be weird for her to think about their Mom and Fire Lord Zuko being married...it would take some getting used to, she knew that.

"How do you think i feel?" She asked laughing. "I could never imagine my mom with anyone other than father, but here you are proof that in some other weird reality she's married to my uncle. And I know, Aunt Mai isn't all that fun, but it seems like she and Zuko are really in love. Sure she could use another smile or two but... I dunno. My sister Kaiana loves her, she taught her how to throw knives and she's combined that with waterbending. Sometimes I think Kaiana likes Aunt Mai more than Mom." She said jokingly.
"Anyways, the oldest is Ursa, she's a lot like Mai... only with Zuko's temper." She said with a laugh. "She's a Firebender, and a knife thrower, and she won't tell anybody this but she has the hugest crush on my brother, Tenzin. Then there's Zhien, he's a hot-headed boy who's kinda cocky, and like Sozu, loves to bug the servents." She finished off. "And then there's Kuzon. He's the youngest. He's kind of mysterious and keeps to himself. The only one who even comes close to getting him to open up is my cousin Yue." She said. "He's kinda been like that since the accident." she said remembering the day she had been told of Lea's murder. Everyone changed that day, but none so much as Kuzon.

Post by Itake Kurosaki on Apr 20, 2011 18:37:40 GMT -5
Itake flew across the city, he had picked up a strong Spiritual Pressure, Itake's eyes widened as a gaint Hollow appeared out of the sky, "Give me a break!!," Itake moaned. Itake had practically been fighting Hollows all day, "Well....I guess this is good Soul Reaper training, at least if I get strong enough I'll be able to achieve a new form of Bankai," Ichigo, Itake's father, had sent Itake to the World of the Living to battle Hollows in order to become strong enough for a new Bankai.
As the Hollow appeared, Itake drew his Zanpakuto and shouted, "GETSUGA TENSHO!!!," A green wave of energy shot from his sword as it hit the hollow, the hollow roared in pain as Itake used Flash Step and cut the Hollow down the middle and landed, the Hollow dissolved into the air as Itake wiped the sweat off his forehead, "I think that's the last one.....," sure enough, Itake was correct, no more Hollows appeared, Itake sheathed his Zanpakuto as he then saw two sorcerers of some sort, they seemed to be able to control fire, curious Itake walked up to them, he was still wearing his Soul Reaper Robes and carrying his Zanpakuto on his back, "I wonder if they can see me....," Itake thought as he walked up to them, "Hey there, what's going on?," Itake asked, Itake wasn't sure if the two sorcerers could hear him, but it was worth the shot.....

Lien smiled a little, her half-siblings weren't so different. She tried to imangine them with herself and Sozu...she'd always wanted more siblings, unfortunately her own birth was so traumatic, and nearly killed her mother and herself, that the palace healers reccomended that she would be their last child. Then Kaya's mention of an accident piqued Lien's intrest "Accident?" Lien asked "What happened?"

"Kuzon had a twin, your half-sister Lea. She was so fun- loving and kind to pretty much anything and anyone, well, she was killed. Her and Zhien were taking a walk in the garden and, in an attack that we presume was meant for him, she was attacked and killed by ex-Dai Li agents. Ever since he just hasn't been the same." She said sadly.
"But that story's a bit of a downer so, we can change the subject if you wanna talk about something less sad." She said with a half-smile.

"I'm sorry." Lien said softly. She'd never had someone close to her die so she couldn't really understand how horrible it would have been for her half-siblings but she knew it would have been devestating. Lien's blue eyes dropped to her feet, even though the war was over they still had such a long way to go...in both their worlds. There were always those still loyal to Ozai and they wouldn't stop until her father was off the throne.
Lien looked at the fountain once more lifted an orb of water out "Waterbending always helps me when I feel upset or annoyed...then Sozu would come and bug me until I feel better." she said as she twisted the water between her palms.

"Yeah, It has that effect on me too." She said with a half-smile. "It has that effect on mom too. Though, my brothers know better than to bug me when I'm upset. I'll probably end up taking my frustrations out on them." She said with a laugh. She couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever see her family again. But she quickly shook that thought away, she would see her family again, she had to.
A though crossed her mind as she quickly stood up and got into a waterbending stance. "C'mon, Sis. Let's see what you got."
