Lien nodded at Kaya's own words, when she was little and upset her mother would always take her down to the turtleduck pond and show her some waterbending moves. She rested the urge to reach up and touch the stone pendent of her mother's necklace, it was the only physical connection she had to her home and her family.
A smirk crossed Lien's face at Kaya's challenge "Just to warn you. I spar with Firebenders all the time and they don't give up without a fight." Lien assumed a more battle-ready waterbending stance. Then, like a flash, Lien shot the water between her palms at Kaya, hardening them into sharp ice daggers at the last second.

"Hey, it aint so easy living with a brood of stubborn airbenders either." She said with a smirk. Before she could react the ice daggers came her way. She thought quickly blocked them with her own wall of ice. "Gonna have to do better than that." She said playfully.
Hoping her words could distract her sister she sent a water tentacle to grab her sisters ankle, and hopefully knock her off her feet.

Lien side-stepped the tenticle and pulled more water from the fountain behind her, there was so much water around, and plant nearby if they got desperate, that it seemed like this place had been designed for waterbending. The large orb of water ttwisted above Lien's head before she flung it forward once more, this time when when the water sharped into ice, it fell on Kaya from directly above. Lien wasn't aiming to kill or severely injure her sister, just to trap her.

She quickly ducked and rolled out of the way of the trap, getting back to her feet in a matter of seconds with the grace of an airbender. Though she was farther away from her main source of water now, at least she had gotten away from the trap. She quickly summoned a massive ammount of water to her, it surrounded her and formed into 8 tentacles, one heading straight for Lien, aiming to hit her as if it were a whip. It was only aimed at her arm, so it wouldn't cause too much damage if it actually hit it's mark.

Lien hissed in pain as the tentitcle caught her arm, nothing serious but it stung, Lien scowled at her sister. The ice of the trap melted into water at Lien's command and crawled back towards her. It travelled up her body, coating it like a second skin, when the water had finshed coating her arms she pushed them forward sending twin jets of water hurtling at high speed towards Kaya.

The tentacles quickly set to work blocking to two jets of water that were flying towards her. But while they could handle one, the second one went unblocked, slamming itself into Kaya hard. The force from the jet sent her hurdling back, until she hit the wall with a painful thud. She quickly got up, still a bit dazed before gripping her throbbing head. She muttered a few curses before scowling right back at Lien. She used the water to create a wave, which she'd send towards her sister. If the wave hit it's target she'd freeze it in order to trap Lien.

Lien cringed slightly when Kaya hit the wall. She wasn't trying to hurt her, but sparing did always have a risk of injury, especially with firebenders. Lien saw the wave coming at her and using the remaining water from her body, created an ice wall. The wave hit it and took to brunt of it. Kaya was good, Lien admitted, very good. This would be a close one.

Wiping sweat from her brow Kaya smirked slightly. Her sister put up a good fight that was for sure. It didn't seem like either waterbender would give up, despite Kaya's head still hurting a tiny bit, Kaya never gave up. She always said that as long as she still drew breath she would fight. It was in her blood so to speak. "Looks like Mom taught us well." She said smiling slightly. Even though each girl was a waterbender, Kaya could clearly see the ferocity of a firebender in Lien, just as anybody could see the grace of an airbender in Kaya.

"We learnt from the best." Lien grinned. She wiped some sweat of her brow with the back of her gloved hand. Kaya put up a good fight, she was an excellent 'waterbender' but Lien couldn't fail to notice the grace in her moves that only came from having an airbender in the family. She had the will and fierocity of a firebender behind her waterbending and she never gave up, not without a fight.
"Ready for another round?" Lien asked.

"You know it." She said jokingly. Their mother really WAS the best, which was why Kaya aspired to be like her in almost every ay possible. Their mother was so beautiful, and powerful, it was hard not to look up to her. "If you're up for it." She said playfully. "But I think we kinda made a mess of this place." She said with a laugh. The floor was littered with puddles of water everywhere, any flowers that were around had been drowned out.

"Oh, trust me, you should see the place after me and Sozu spar. Steam so thick you can't see your hand in front of your face, burnt plants, ice all over the floor..." Lien said but she couldn't help but cringe at the sight of the place "...on second thoughts, I don't think this place could survive another round."

Rob had arrived, hands in his pockets as he walked along. Though, he stopped short, as the ground became littered with puddles and mess. Looking down at the liquid that seeped across the floor, he followed it up to a pair of girls. Oh... those two girls he'd met the other day. Lien and Kaya... Yes he remembered them. He wasn't unobservant and forgetful. If he forgot anything it was before he really didn't care.
"I'm pretty confident it couldn't..." his voice sounded from the side, tagging onto the end of Lien's last words. He'd offer a dull smile, though even his lamest smile was rather charming, slowly fading to reveal nothing but a shadow of what it used to be.

Lien's head snapped to Rob, she remembered him, the boy who seemed like another version of Lady Mai...except somewhat warmer. At his comment, her blue eyes swept the scene again and she cringed at the mess she and Kaya managed to create between them.
"Well sparring matches aren't known for their cleanliness." Lien said, her eyes returning to Rob "Especially with two Waterbending Masters going up against each other. Do you spar Rob?"

Rob wasn't particularly sociable. But he was noticeably warmer to Lien and Kaya. Though, admittedly that was probably only through Lien. At her question of whether he sparred, Rob allowed a shrug. Though he was downplaying it. Rob was trained nearly daily, by his mother and father. And although he didn't look particularly muscular, he was strong.
"Sure." he said casually.

"Do you want to go a round?" Lien asked "I think this place can hold a little while longer."
Rob seemed like he could be a formidable opponent, she didn't know what he used to spar, he wasn't from her world so he wasn't an airbender, waterbender, firebender or earthbender so she really didn't know what to expect. Lien lowered herself into another waterbending stance and melted the remains of her ice wall before voting her arms in the water. She was ready.
