Lien felt Rob's shoulder brush against her own and her blue eyes went from the ground to Rob. She gave him a small, alibeit watery, smile then Kaya wrapped her arm around her and Lien returned the gesture. What she had here was good. A sister and a friend, she shouldn't wallow in the past because that's what it was, the past.
Those who remain in the past can never move forward. Her Uncle Iroh's words rang through her skull. He was right, as usual.
"It's not your fault." Lien said in acknowledgement of Alishia "It's just...back home...there are people who hate my family because we're not Fire Nation...we barbarians...my Mom's a water witch and my brother and I are half-blood scum."

Alishia narrowed her eyes at the thought of someone being so cruel to another human being. She didn't know if it was genuine anger or just the fact that she could relate in a way. She wasn't hated for race isues or for being a half whatever princess. Alishia was hated for being an illegitemate child. It was apperantly worse that she was the illegitamate child of the sultan with a common street-rat. Not that she'd ever speak badly of either of her parents, but that was what she'd heard them call her mother. That or an evil witch. Which was preposterous because she knew for a fact her mother was not evil. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. "I geuss I can relate in a way." She said with a bitter roll of her eyes. It was rare you'd ever see an angry feature on her face, but right about now she didn't feel anything but bitter. The citizens of Agrabah shunned her for something that was out of her control. "But I... I'm sorry to hear that. People who hate others because of things like that just make me want to... ugh... nevermind." She said. It was an odd feeling to express her frustrations. She had never done it before, but she had to admit, she liked the feeling.

Lien nodded at Alishia's words "It's hard. Sozu has it lucky. He's a firebender, so practically no one comments about him but when everyone found out I was a waterbender...things just went downhill very fast."
Lien meant into Kaya's hug more, feeling secure in her older sister's embrace. Kaya was lucky too. She was the Avatar's daughter, no one would think to comment on the fact that she was the product of two nations, even if they did it wouldn't be as public as some of the opinions she had to endure.

((Time to introduce the troublemaker!! XD))
Kaya was feeling aweful for her sister. She didn't have to deal with things like that. Sure, she had her own problems but not being hated by a majority of the people in her nation. Actually her problems were the opposite. Kaya felt like she had to live up to great expectations set up by her parents and heck, even her aunts and uncles. She was surrounded by greatness and it seemed she had no choice but to follow it. She hugged her sister tighter and said "I'm sorry Lien, that sounds awefu-" She was cut off by a high-pitched yell of her name.
"KAYA!" Before she knew what happened a flying orange blur rammed into her wrapped her in a suffocating hug. "Oh Kaya I thought I'd never see you again!" She exclaimed. Sure, her sister wasn't her favorite family member but as of right now she couldn't be happier. "Shya?" She asked disbeleivingly. She was surprised to say the least, but she was still happy to see a sister she recognized. "How are yo- Nevermind it doesn't matter!" Kaya said with a smile on her face.
Shya was all smiles until she realized her sister was hugging a girl she'd never met before, despite feeling odly familiar. "Who's that?" She asked pointing to Lien.
Kaya swallowed hard. She didn't exactly know how Shya wold take it. Her sister had a tendancy to be unpredictable in many ways. She considered lying, but what good would it do? Shya would find out eventually. "Uhh... Shy this is Lien she's our... half-sister. She's Mom and uncle Zuko's daughter." She said awaiting her sisters response.
Shya began laughing at the mere thought of it before finally calming down enough to speak. "No seriously Kay, who is she?" She asked through laughter.

"I'm Lien." Lien repeated "Your half-sister...your Mom is my Mom and Fire Lord Zuko is my dad...It's nice to meet you." she held out her hand for the other girl to shake.
Lien had a nagging feeling that this wasn't going to end well, she pushed this out of her mind. They were family right? Blood relatives, surely this girl, Shya, would probably react like Kaya had, disbelief and then acceptance. It felt strange to see another half-sister, this one must obviously be an airbender, within such a short time...what next? A daughter or son of her father and Lady Mai?

At Liens confirmation Shya's jaw dropped. She had ANOTHER sister? No.... no that couldnt be. Especially when she claimed her father was Uncle Zuko. She knew THAT was impossible. They had to be joking, or playing and aweful prank on her... she didnt have another sister. "What do you guys think I was born yesterday or something?" She scoffed, refusing the beleive it. "Shya we're not joking she's our sister." Kaya said seriously. "Kaya have you lost your mind?" She asked disbeleivingly. " We already have sisters, remember Kita, and Aisha, and Kaiana? I think I would know if another magically popped up." She said with a roll of her eyes. " I'm not stupid." "Obviously you are." She said frowning at her younger sister. "because she's our sister, for another universe, but still our sister." "No she ISN'T! And if you beleive that you're just as crazy as she is." She said, speaking of Lien.

Lien took a step back from the irate airbender in shock, her blue eyes wide and her mouth ajar. She thought she was crazy...a liar but she wasn't! She wasn't a liar! Aunt Azula always lies but she doesn't. Her shock was quickly replaced with anger. How dare she suggest that she was crazy!
"Hang on a minute!" Lien said sharply "I am not lying! My mother is Katara of the Southern Water Tribe and my father is Fire Lord Zuko. Look, here's my Mom's necklace! How do you think I got this if Kaya has one exactly the same! I'm not crazy and I'm not a liar and neither is Kaya!"

Her eyes widened for a breif moment. She wouldnt beleive it but there was the proof in front of her. She shook her head, furious that she would even consider that Lien was telling the truth. Shya scoffed at her 'sister'. She must seriously think she was an idiot, either that or she's crazy... and personaly Shya beleived it was the latter. "Yeah, and how easy is it to make a replica?" She asked rolling her eyes. "I don't beleive you for a second." She said narrowing her blue eyes. Before turning to her real sister.
"Kaya you know as well as I do that mom would never in a million years leave dad. Even in some crazy alternate universe, and you know it!" She yelled. "Shya will you just calm down." She said slightly irritated. "Listen to yourself you sound like a loon. Lien. Is. Our sister." She said calmly, hoping to sooth the angry airbender. "What? You actually beleive her?" She asked with wide eyes. "Ugh you're supposed to be the logical one and all of the sudden I'm the only one making sense?!" She asked with an exasperated yell.
"I may be the only one who can tell, but I know you're lying." She said glaring at Lien.

Lien's hand curled into a fist, her blue eyes blazing with anger, if she were a firebender she would have been spewing flame from her mouth. She wanted to freeze this girl to a wall and not let her go until she had accepted the truth but she restrained herself, this was her half-sister, whether she wanted to accept that or not.
"I'm not lying, This necklace isn't a replica and how do you explain the fact that I'm a waterbender and unless Lady Mai has secret Water Tribe ancestry, I seriously doubt that I could be unless Katara is my mother!"

"There are other waterbenders in the world, you know." She said matter of factly. "It's not like with the airbenders where there are only a few left. Thank you for that by the way."
"Shya!" Kaya exclaimed, horrified that her own sister would say such a thing. She had never held any hostility towards firenation, especially considering her huge crush on Zhien, why start now? "What" she asked harshly. "It's not like it's a lie." She muttered. "Alright, that's enough!" She yelled, losing her temper. "Whether you beleive it or not it's true. I've accepted it and so has she. Now will you both calm yourself before we get a bending battle going?" She asked rolling her eyes. Shya muttered a few profanities under her breath and crossed her arms, but said nothing.

Rob was silent through the exchange. Taking a moment to inspect the girl, before returning to his own collected thoughts. He kicked his shoe at the ground, flexing his hands in his pockets while he chose not to speak. Not quite out of the ordinary for him, he didn't have much to say unless he felt it was worth saying. Or even worth responding too. What ever the case with this situation, however, was undetermined. He didn't look angry, just indifferent, as he shook some black locks from his eyes.

Lien scowled and muttered some choice obscenities of her own, her mother would have had a heart attack if she'd heard her talk like that. Her gaze went to the floor, Shya may be her sister but the girl was a nasty piece of work in her own mind...how Uncle Aang and her mother produced someone like her she would never know. Still, she was thankful for Kaya's intervention.
Her eyes went to Rob, he seemed to be ignoring them all and looked quite indifferent to the whole situation. How he could be was a mystery to Lien.

Kaya gave an apolagetic look to Lien, which Shya caught. This cause the airbender to roll her eyes. WHY was her sister taking this weirdo's side, she'd never know. It's as if Kaya had lost all sense completely. "Okay, why don't we go somewhere and get to know eachother better?" She asked, trying to easethe obvious tension. "I'm sure some talking will help us work through whatever issues we have." She said with a nervous laugh. "Do you tw wanna come?" She asked Rob and Alishia, who had been quiet during the whole argument. Needless to say the theif was very confused.
Shya crossed her arms over her chest once again and glared at the floor. "Whatever" she grumbled.

"Sure." Lien agreed after a moment. Her blue eyes darted to Shya for a second before looking at Kaya again. She was grateful for Kaya sticking up for her...convincing Shya that she wasn't lying was going to be both long and painful. She was Shya's half-sister and, she hoped, in time Shya would see that.
"So...where'd you want to go?"
