YOUR PERSONALITY
Basic Personality: Jinx is a bully through and through. Her mother shunned her, her father doesn’t even know she exists, and her mother’s adopted family either hate or pity her, and all this together makes her very bitter about the world in general, and especially towards any of her parents’ subsequent pups. Her single goal in life appears to be to make everyone else’s lives – especially those who had any hand in her current situation – as miserable as hers, whether that involves peeing on Jim Dear’s carpets, beating Sophie senseless, or making Irina regret the very day she was born.
Likes: Misten – her brother -; making people miserable.
Dislikes: The world in general, her parents and their families in particular.
Fears: Not any more – Jinx is living out the very life her early fears consisted of; all alone, hated by everyone except her brother. Now, her only continual fear is of showing any weakness.
Hopes and Dreams: Deep down, Jinx’s real dream is to be part of a family – a real family, who actually loves her. She has long convinced herself, however, that such a life is impossible, and so her goal now is simply to make the lives of Buster, Angel, and anyone related to them as miserable as hers has been.
Temperament: In a word, volatile. If you aren’t related to her parents, Jinx will probably seem to ignore you at first – but if you say anything wrong, watch out. If you ARE related to her parents, she will make your life a living hell.
YOUR STORY
History: Always an unwanted pup, Jinx and her brother Misten were born to Angel not long after her adoption by Jim Dear’s family. Scamp – in fact, the whole family – were horrified at the pair of mini-Busters she had given birth to. All at once, Annette and Collette weren’t nearly so welcoming of Angel; Tramp looked on her with pity, which only made Angel all the more uncomfortable; while Scamp, shocked, didn’t know what to think and avoided her altogether. Ashamed, Angel fled, leaving her pups behind.
Jinx and Misten were raised by Scamp – now ashamed of his treatment of Angel when he should have stuck with her and wanting to make up for it by caring for her pups – and his future mate, a Dalmatian called Pepper, later along with their own daughter, Sophie. This development, however, was no better than being stuck under the noses of two ‘aunts’ who despised her, at least from Jinx’s view. Scamp, it seemed, cared more about making up for his mistakes than their actual wellbeing, and paid much more attention to his daughter by birth – a right little b****. Sophie was fond of rubbing Jinx’s position in her face, lording it over the older pup in any way possible, and especially of goading the other girl on just to get her into trouble with Scamp. She didn’t even have any way out, because after his own experiences of running away as a pup, Scamp was determined that none of his family would do the same, and kept a close eye on Jinx especially.
And then, one day, Jinx woke up on this unknown island. Misten wasn’t around – but neither were Sophie or her parents. Seizing the opportunity to live her own life for once, Jinx ditched her collar and set out to find where she belonged.
JUDGEMENT
Sample Post: Jinx circled the trembling smaller canine, a sick grin plastered across her muzzle. “Yer an awful long way from yer daddy’s hut in the forest.” She sneered at Irina. The younger girl was speechless, practically wetting herself with fear, and that was fine as far as Jinx was concerned. Any of mother’s other offspring deserved only the worst in life. “Or maybe yer mom abandoned you the way she did us.” She added, leaning closer so that her putrid breath brushed the other’s nose. Irina whimpered, and that sound was all Jinx needed. She darted under the pom/hound-cross’ pathetic guard, seized Irina by the collar and dragged her to the ground, ignoring Misten’s combination of pleas for her to stop and apologies to the terrified canine locked in her grip.
