Appearance: Looks a lot like cub Scar with big, round green Pridelander style eyes, lighter patches under his eyes and on his nose, and a darker stripe in his ears like cub Kovu's.
Any Siblings?: Swafi
How did your parents get together?: Kiara and Kovu became mates after the events of Simba's Pride and bore two sons: Swafi and Athari.
AU you come from: My TLK III story
Basic Personality: Passive, pessimistic, naive, gentle and kind
Likes: His friend Dayo, being left alone, his mother and listening to Grandma Sarabi tell stories
Dislikes: Swafi, the other cubs of the pride (they constantly tease and berate him, and Swafi abuses him)
Fears: Swafi. Really, he only completely fears and tries to avoid his brother, whenever possible.
Hopes and Dreams: To be accepted and not teased
Temperment: Very submissive, passive, and downtrodden
History: After the events of Simba's Pride, King Kovu and Queen Kiara bore two cubs: Swafi and Athari. When Kovu saw an omen in the clouds during Swafi's presentation, his parents feared the worst and talked about crowning Athari as the heir instead. Unfortunately, Swafi overheard them one night and what his parents intended for good devastated their oldest cub. From then on he sought revenge by any means possible.
Athari can't fathom what changed his brother, but he's constantly baffled, hurt and confused, not knowing about his parents' plans to crown him as the future king.
Sample Post: One moment he was going to dinner, the next he was standing in the middle of an unfamiliar place, totally alone. At first, Athari was petrified until he realized......he was totally alone. Without his parents. Without his pride. And without Swafi. And suddenly...his outlook became a whole lot brighter. No Swafi. The mere thought brightened his disposition immensely. No more big brother emotionally and physically abusing him. He was free. No more nightmarish reality. He was free.
Little did he know, that his brother was in the same place too...
