[Penee]

"Gah... who? Who's Oddball?"

She shook her head, trying to take in everything the other two pups were saying. "Dad tol' me the bird's spell w's broken by water bein' splashed on th' person, an' he said one time, he accidentally met Aunt Tones at th' water hole in the middlelands, an' she w's just as enamoured with Buster after goin' in th' water as she was before.

"But I dinae want tae talk about Aunt Two-Tone anymore," Penee said, tactfully changing the subject. She smiled a little at Lucky jr. "Aye, I remember. Dad told me about some of those things as well, but they were before th' war started. I wouldnae mind havin' adventures like that, too."

[Beyonca]

"You said something about power, think this power can change a person to total evil if it wasn't even in their nature?" Lucky jr asked curiously.

"If you want we can tell you how our mom is, maybe you can tell your dad and mom about her as if she was your aunt." Beyonca suggested to Penee but she knew that she couldn't tell that, it would be like telling a lie.

"What started this war?" Lucky jr asked.

"Poor mom, I bet deep down in that war she misses dad" Beyonca looked down.

[Charm]

"Maybe mama was happy." a small voice pipped up. Little Charm had been just sitting there quietly watching the whole conversation. "I mean, maybe she just wanted to follow her heart?" the pup looked from Penee to her older brother and sister. "Penee,do you know if Mom and this Buster guy ever had kids?"

[Penee]

So much for changing the subject... "Power of any sort c'n be adictive." she replied with a shrug. "Although dad seemed pretty sure Aunt Tones w's like that even before th' war... but I wouldnae know.

Penee looked up in surprise at Lucky jr's question. "Yu know..." she replied, forgetting for a moment that he didn't know - it was impossible for the pup to comprehend a universe where the war hadn't happened. "Th' war between th' villains an' th' heroes? Tha' started in th' Pridelands, an' people and animals fr'm all over th' world joined up." She shuffled her paws uncomfortably. "An' the heroes lost in th' end.

"I dinae know." she replied to the smaller puppy who'd also spoken up. "Ma parents didnae like tae talk about them. I'm pretty sure Aunt Tones w's 'appy with him, tho'."

[Charm]

Charm smiled. "As long as mamma's happy, I'm happy. Penee, who's Rebecca?" the pup asked her half-sister. The name had been mention so many times and no one had told her who that person was. "Did daddy meet her on an adventure?"

[Penee]

"Rebecca's my mom." Penee replied, smiling down at the younger pup, glad that someone else was changing the subject. "Dad met her in De Vil Ville once, but he dinae really remember anything about that. Mom got left behind when th' town disappeared again, an' managed to track dad to th' war." Taking her locket in one paw, Penee flipped it open to reveal the pictures inside. "Tha's her, see, th' one with th' scarred hearts." Something of a smile crossed the dal's face as she looked at the photos - she wished she could have met her mom at that age.

[Charm]

The little pup looked at the picture. "Why is she scarred? Is it from a battle?" They looked healed but they were still a bit gruesome. Who would do something like that? "Who did that?" she wondered.

[Penee]

"Actually... she did tha' tae herself." Penee replied, a little uncomfrotably. Neither parent had liked to talk about the incident, which made her more than a little uncertain about telling a complete stranger - no matter that she may have been her half-sister. "She... broke f'r a time... but I dinae think she'd like me talkin' about it."

[Reba]

Reba arrived with her head lowered- dark fluffy ears which we always straight drooping on either side of her face. Bandanna was well kept however, shifting against her back as she padded along dully. Of course it was something of a surprise coming across the group of pups. Neck arched up, raising her head to better inspect the group. The base of her ears twitched, suggesting she was picking up on conversation, or perhaps just registering that they were speaking to one another.

"Hope I ain't bothering yeh. 'Fraid I'm a bit lost..." she announced, padding up to the lot of them. Fluffy tail, much like her mothers, gracefully trailing behind her, occasionally flipping to the side. Perhaps she hoped these guys would be able to offer some sort of explanation? She was larger than them- being basically the size she'll be the rest of her life. She'd mostly grown into her body.

[bella]

"Don't worry, we're a little bit lost. This is a new place I'm looking for my parents and my brother and sister, Kickstand and Tally. My name's Bella what's your name"? She asked her tail wagging happily.

[Charm]

"Who broke her?" Charm asked curiously. She moved a little closer to her half-sister. Her universe seemed happier than her half-sister's. "Was it something mamma did? What side was mamma on anyway?" the pup asked.

[Penee]

Clearly not at ease with talking about this, Penee fidgeted uncomfortably. "It was dad... while he w's under th' spell." she replied at length, desperately hoping that she wouldn't be asked for any more details. "But she really wouldnae like me talkin' about it." she repeated.

[jade]

Jade watched the new pup with interest. Her accent was obviously recongizable but it took her awhile to figure it out. "nice to meet you Penee." she said, her french accent wasn't as strong as the pup's but it was strong

[Reba]

Reba had come closer and eventually plopped her rear to the ground, large fluffy tail wrapping around her base as she gave each of the pups a look over, attention resting on the Bella gal who'd introduced herself with a story. Judging by what she'd briefly been told it didn't appear Reba was the only one lost and confused, left wondering what had happened.

"Nice to meet ya." Reba inclined her head, "Mah name's Reba." she sniffed. Female contemplated how to ask them if anyone knew what was going on... Course she was assuming the same thing happened to them, and could only wonder how insane she'd sound if she was wrong in her assumption. Maybe she was crazy?

[Beyonca]

"I always thought the heroes win against the villains? I mean not once did Thunderbolt lose to Ol Dirty Dawson or those other bad guys, or my father lose to Cruella." Lucky jr said. "Man what kind of spineless wimps fought that war only to lose?" he asked

"Thats wierd" Beyonca spoke up "Dad never mentioned an adventure in DeVilville before....... Wait! Miss Spot did!" She spoke up

"You mean that crazy story Spot told us that one time where dad, aunt Cadpig, and uncle Rolly went back in time to the 17th century after Cruella and the Dearlys? I remember that story, though Miss Spot said that Rebecca said she was staying behind to keep some guy named Judge Dimsdale DeVil in check. I dunno if your mom said the same thing to dad in your war though. I don't wanna accuse her of lying to dad but what if she got caught in some kind of time vortex or something?" Lucky jr asked Penee

"Could be possible, but hearing evil win gives me a chill." Beyonca said before she noticed other dogs coming up "Hey there" Beyonca waved to Reba "I'm Beyonca and this is my sister Charm and brother Lucky jr, and well this is Penee our half sister." She introduced herself to Reba

"Guess Dad told your mom his real feelings huh? Though from what it sounds like to me this magic bird enhances ones love for another." Lucky jr said to Penee.
