Jia's ears perked, voices...unfamiliar but there was still people around...at least two by the sound of things. Her head turned in the direction of the voices, though she saw nothing. At least there was someone who could tell her what was happening.
Elanna felt uneasy "I'm not so sure we can just blindly trust everyone who randomly wanders into this land." she said in a low whisper "How do we know she isn't an enemy?"

"She's a GIRL. I can take her." Swafi said confidently with a smirk. "If she so much as lifts a claw, I can take her on. She looks pretty defenseless to me anyway. She walks like she's hurt or something." He tossed his head nonchalantly and began to eat again. "You can be all paranoid if you want, but I'm not scared of a stupid girl." Especially one that was smaller than him. As far as he was concerned, she was a female Athari just waiting to be pushed around and abused.

Elanna growled in annoyance at Swafi's behaviour. Didn't he know how dangerous it could be to be so nonchalant about starngers wandering into your territory? She had been right before, Swafi was going to be a pathetic king if this was any indication. Her sapphire eyes then turned to the golden cub...something just didn't seem right about her...
"Hello?" Jia called, everything had gone quiet once more...had the people left "Hello?"

"Hey!!" Swafi called back immediately. "Who are you?!" Stupid Elanna. He was strong. More than strong enough to take on a wimpy little GIRL. And this girl walked funny too like something was wrong with her. As if she were something to be AFRAID of. "Look at her Elanna, she acts like she's messed up in the head or something. I seriously doubt she's gonna be anything to worry about." He snorted. "Besides, if she does I'll just knock some sense into her about who she's dealing with."

"How do you know it's not an act so we feel sorry for her and let ou guard down?" Elanna demanded in a low hiss then muttered under her breath "You're gonna be a pathetic king if you need me to tell you that."
Jia's head snapped in Swafi's direction, her spirits brightened, someone was there after all. She was safe so long as they were friendly, judging by the person's tone they mightn't be.
"I'm Jia!" she called back after a minute "I'm lost...can you help me?"

"I doubt it. These are MY lands and you're TRESPASSING." Swafi snorted. "But if you want to be part of my pride, then I might let you off easy. You can join up with us if you want. Otherwise you should just turn around and get LOST."

"I just want to know if I'm near the Pridelands." Jia said. She had finally reached the two, if she could see she would have seen Elanna's scowl deepen "Or if you've seen my brother and sister...Chaka and Kala."
Elanna was getting more and more annoyed with Swafi's behaviour and more distrustful of this strange lioness. Then she noticed something. Although Jia was looking staright at Swafi but her eyes didn't seem to focus on him or his surroundings. She kept this observation to herself however.
