Don't ask why - I just like this pairing ^^" And I wanted a human character to play as on here, so...
YOUR BASICS
Name: Nadia Hawkins
Alias: N/A
Gender: F
Age: 17
Height: A little taller than average
Weight: Average
Appearance: Nadia is quite tall for her age. Her brown hair is worn in a style reminiscent of her mother’s, while her facial structure, for the most part, looks more like her father’s. She has blue eyes, and – just like her father – wears a single earring. She usually wears a grey shirt which probably used to be white, and dark green pants. Like her mother at that age, she goes barefoot whenever possible. She is rarely ever seen without her solar surfer.

YOUR BACKGROUND
Mother: Melody
Father: Jim Hawkins
Any Siblings?: None
How did your parents get together?: Not long after the Procyon crisis, Jim’s ship got badly damaged in an attack by a group of remaining ironclads, forcing him to bring it into port on a previously unknown planet – earth – where they wound up docking at the port just off Eric’s castle. The crew got to work repairing the ship – much to the astonishment of the other sailors, given the futuristic technology it contained, in comparison to their own.
Jim’s first encounter with the princess, Melody (herself also older, by now, than she was in the film) didn’t go over well, when he caught her sneaking aboard to see the strange ship for herself – however both were intrigued enough by the other to make – admittedly subtle – attempts to see each other again. Eventually, they met for real, becoming friendly together, and after not too long, developing feelings for each other.
By the time the ship was eventually repaired, Melody – enthralled by Jim’s tales of the etherium – begged her parents to let her go with Jim. Ariel and Eric both were uncertain, but on Jim’s assurances that he’d keep her safe, agreed that she was old enough to choose her own life and so, after goodbyes to King Triton and the rest of Altantica, she left with Jim.

YOUR PERSONALITY
Basic Personality: A tomboy, Nadia can have a sharp mouth, and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself – or her friends, if it comes to that. The only problem is that people who think of themselves as her friends might not be the same ones SHE thinks of as her friends – in which case if they’re in trouble, she may just leave them where they fall. Controversially, she herself is actually a rather trusting person – almost too trusting of others, in some instances.
Likes: Solar surfing, swimming (comes from her mermaid heritage), having the freedom to go wherever she wants.
Dislikes: Fluffy earth animals, getting into trouble, people who assume that just because she’s talked to them once means that they’re instantly friends
Fears: Sustaining a paralysing injury
Hopes and Dreams: Become galactic solar-surfing champion
Temperament: Can seem unfriendly at first, although mostly, if you’re nice to her, she’ll be nice back. Just don’t expect that to mean that she automatically considers you a friend. Once she’s established that someone seems nice, she’s pretty even-tempered, although can get defensive – though not evidently angry – if she feels threatened at all.
YOUR STORY
History: A few years after Melody left earth with Jim, the two had married, and the eldest – and so far, only – child of that union was Nadia. Raised on Montressor as her father had been, by her teens, she had picked up his skill with mechanics, crafting her own solar surfer in her free time – followed, shortly by his knack for getting into trouble with the robot police by taking it to a restricted area to test it out, much to her mother's frustration. Against her parents’ wishes, she opted not to attend the interstellar academy, instead sticking to her – admittedly dull – life on Montressor in the interests of mastering the art of solar-surfing and one day becoming a champion. Remembering himself at that age, Jim realised there was no changing Nadia’s mind, and reluctantly bought a part of the abandoned quarry so she could practice her chosen skill borderline-legally.
JUDGEMENT
Sample Post:
There may have been a flash of light, but Nadia was too preoccupied to give it much thought. One of the couplings in her board had come loose – again, damnit – and she was struggling to fix it while still on the solar surfer was still in motion. Not a hard task, if she could concentrate…
And then her concentration was torn from the task at hand as she realised that, instead of the abandoned quarry of Montressor beneath her, she was flying over a lush green jungle. This… she shook her head. This was so weird.
Her momentary lapse in concentration cost her as her surfer clipped the top of one of the trees, sending her spiralling out of control. She slammed her bare foot down on the emergency cutoff, wincing as the action sent a sharp pain through her heel.
“Damn, I should have known better that surfing barefoot.” She muttered, snapping the sail open, which helped the machine to level out enough to bring it in for a landing on a seemingly more habitable area of the island.
